She was a Bermudan-American actress, born in Devonshire Parish, Bermuda, as Diana Love Dill. She was the mother of Joel Douglas and Michael Douglas. She went to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. She launched her career as a Powers agency model. Her screen debut was in Let's Live Again (1948). Her notable works include Planes, Trains & Automobiles (1987), Remington Steele (1982), and The Whistle at Eaton Falls (1951). Her last appearance was in ER (2008). She was married three times, one of whom was Kirk Douglas. She passed away at the age of 92 from cancer on July 3, 2015, in Los Angeles, California, USA.
