She attended a boarding school in Barbados in the Caribbean Islands and then attended a school in Montreal, Canada. After that, she moved to the United States, where she completed her secondary education at a school in Massachusetts. She also spent her university years at George Washington University in Washington, DC. She obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications, then moved to Los Angeles, and worked on producing a talk show before finding her way into artistic work. Her credits include South of Nowhere and Friday Night Lights.
