He was a Polish actor, born on December 4, 1904, in Tempelburg, Pomerania, Poland. He is of German origin. He played a variety of German supporting roles in American cinema. He is known for Ulzana's Raid (1972), Paris Calling (1941), and Rogues' Regiment (1948). He died at the age of 95 on October 20, 2000, in Encino, California, USA.
