German actor, born in 1968, in East Berlin, East Germany. He studied acting at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin from 1991 to 1995. He made his screen debut with the TV movie Schmutzige Hande in 1999. In 2012, he won the Las Palmas Film Festival Award for Best Actor for Stopped on Track. He is known for Stopped on Track (2011), The Captain (2017), and Tatort (1970). He is married to Magdalena Musial and they have two children together.
