He was an American actor, born on July 5, 1911, in Lost Nation, Iowa, USA, as Melvin Elmer Schubert. He was a light guest in American cinema, where he appeared in 17 films during the end of World War II, mainly in military roles. He is known for his participation in There's Something About a Soldier (1943), What Next, Corporal Hargrove? (1945), and The Racket Man (1944). He passed away on December 23, 1957, in Los Angeles, California, USA.
