An American actress, born on January 11, 1924, in Los Angeles, California, USA, as Alma Francine Carroll. Her film debut was when she was 3 years old in a silent film in 1928. She went to University High School and was a model for photographers. Prior to being elected Miss America of National Defense at the age of 17, her professional goals In her youth, she appeared in 20 productions, and she signed with Columbia Studios. She also performed for the American forces, and joined Bob Hope in his performances for the military forces. She is known for her roles in A Tornado in the Saddle (1942), Pardon My Gun (1942), and Wyoming Hurricane (1944). She married twice and passed away on May 3, 2019, at the age of 95.
