A German actor, born in Munich, Germany, as Arnold Frey. After arriving in America in 1926, he obtained citizenship in 1940. He worked in cinema from the beginning of the sound era and played several German character roles, especially in World War II films. He is known for Valley of Hunted Men (1942), Tiger Fangs (1943), and Women in the Night (1948). He was married to Chris Marie Meeker until his death on June 26, 1961, at the age of 60, from a blood clot in Los Angeles, California, USA.
