She was an American actress, born on May 25, 1910, in Lewiston, Illinois, USA, as Barbara Mae Smith. Over the course of two decades, she played a variety of additional and supporting roles in both television and film. She is known for The Great Jesse James Raid (1953), State Department: File 649 (1949), and I Shot Jesse James (1949). She married three times but had no children. She died at the age of 86 on January 16, 1997, in Ojai, California, USA.
