An American actor, born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, USA, on March 7, 1886. He got married twice and had no children. His career spanned three decades, and he participated in supporting roles including the roles of a professor, banker, lawyer, judge, and policeman. He is known for Soldiers and Women (1930), The Crooked Way (1949), and The Girl from Manhattan (1948). He died in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA, on September 28, 1974, of a stroke.
