An American actor, born in Alabama, USA. He was a professor of English literature at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and after his retirement, he broke into acting in 1987 with the movie The Verne Miller Story. He's known for Forrest Jump (1994) and Sweet Home Alabama (2002). His final appearance was in the TV series Still the King in 2016. Bob did not marry and did not have children. He died on December 25, 2022.
