English actor, writer, and director, born in Ilford, Essex, England, United Kingdom. He got married to Prunella Gee in 1978, and they got divorced in 1983 after he had a daughter with her. He wrote his first play, One Night I Danced with Mr. Dalton in 1968. He made his acting debut in the series Dr. Finlay's Casebook (1964.) He is known for Creep (2004), A Fish Called Wanda (1988), and Law & Order (1978). He passed away on August 31, 2008, at the age of 66, due to a heart attack.
