An American actor, born in Keosauqua, Iowa, USA, on July 5, 1876, as John Hugh Elliott. He got married three times and had two children. Among his most important works are Kid Courageous (1934), Million Dollar Mystery (1927), Only the Brave (1930), and House of Connelly (1934). John Elliott was a prolific film actor who worked in the silent and sound film eras. He began his artistic career on stage, working in local theaters, then on Broadway, and during his career, he played a variety of roles and specialized in Western B films. He also portrayed good guys with the same proficiency he used to portray villains. He played the roles of the priest, the judge, the clerk, the detective, the sheriff, the doctor, and the butler. John Elliott died at the age of 80 in Los Angeles, California, USA, on December 12, 1956, of a heart attack.
