American actor and stuntman, born in Salem, Washington, Indiana, USA, on June 12, 1895, as George Leland Plews. He married Lillian Grotewold (1925-1953) and stayed with her until her death. He performed stunts in Western movies and provided supporting and additional roles such as chauffeur, cowboy, drunkard, and others. Among his works are Ragtime Cowboy Joe (1940), Come on Cowboy (1937), and Tenting Tonight on the Old Camp Ground (1943). He died in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA, on August 16, 1953.
