A Canadian comedian, actress, and writer, born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to a Swiss mother and a Pakistani father. She graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University, where she joined the Radio and Television Arts program. She made her debut as a writer in the series Comedy Now! in 2001. Her notable credits include Search Party (2020), Harley Quinn (2020), and Powerless (2017). In 2022, she was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for Best Performance, Sketch Comedy (Individual or Ensemble) for Roast Battle Canada. She is married to fashion designer Shauna McCann, and they have one child.
