A British actor, born John H. Paton in West Ham, London, England, UK on October 16, 1920. His notable works include The Escape of R.D. 7 (1961), The World of Tim Frazer (1960), The Adventures of Robin Hood (1955-1958) and The Avengers (1962). He started his career in theater after a business trip to New York, where he appeared on Broadway, and when he returned to London, he participated in the Old Vic Theatre, and played Shakespearean roles. By the end of the fifties, he began appearing in cinema and television, and his frequent drinking affected his career. He died in Hackney, London, England, UK on March 17, 1984, at the age of 63.
