A Russian-born American actor, born in Mogilev, Russian Empire (now Belarus). He immigrated to the United States in 1910, and played secondary roles in several Frankenstein films, in addition to many supporting roles in films and television series. His works include The Big Fisherman (1959), Return of the Fly (1959), Hello, Dolly! (1969) and Too Much, Too Soon (1958). He died of heart failure in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA, on February 3, 1975, at age 88.
