A German actress, director, and producer, born in Herford, Germany. She took ballet, dance, and singing lessons at an early age and then started getting involved in theater by joining a theater group. After she finished her studies, she went to Berlin and lived there for three years. During that time, she was able to get her first television and cinematic roles, and her first screen appearance was in 1994 in the series Ein Bayer auf Rügen, where she participated in two episodes. She produced and directed the short film Mad Lane (2004), which won the Outstanding Short Award at the Sacramento Film Festival. It was her first directorial experience. She also produced and directed the feature film Willie and Me (2022). She married German actor Otto Waalkes on September 4, 2000, and they divorced on November 22, 2012.
