An American actress, born in Harmony, Pennsylvania, USA, on October 3, 1902, as Katherine McHugh. She was married to actor Ned Glass, and he stayed with her until her death. She made her stage debut when she was 4. In the mid-1930s, she made her film debut, and her career spanned over two decades. She provided the roles of a telephone operator, secretary, wife, nurse, maid, waitress, and landlady. She made several films with The Three Stooges and toured the European theater during World War II. Among her most important works are Down the Ribber (1936), The Grapes of Wrath (1940), and Blonde Trouble (1937). She committed suicide in North Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA, on September 3, 1954, by overdosing on barbiturates.
