An Irish actor and director, born in Rosslare, County Wexford, Ireland. He married Lottie Tabernacle (1921–1971), who remained with him until his death. His notable works include The Trail of Vengeance (1924), The Three Musketeers (1933), The Lightning Express (1930), and Shackles of Fear (1924). He was an Irish-American film actor, a prolific performer from the silent era to the sound era. He was born in Ireland and served as a soldier in the British Army before immigrating to America. He was an actor, producer, and director of numerous low-budget westerns, and also appeared in some television westerns in the 1950s. He died in Burbank, California, USA, on December 4, 1971, from prostate cancer, at the age of 83.
