An American actress, born in Portland, Oregon, USA, as Maxine Leah Jennings. She married three times and had one daughter. Maxine Jennings played supporting roles during the thirties, studied at the University of Oregon, and was a swimming champion who won 8 championships, and when she was 17 years old, she won the Miss Portland pageant, and worked as a model in Paris and her image appeared on the covers of magazines. She also sang on the radio. She appeared on stage, worked in film during the end of the silent era, and continued her cinematic appearances after the introduction of sound to films. She is known for Mr. Wong, Detective (1938), There Goes My Girl (1937), and The Dummy Owner (1938). Maxine Jennings passed away at the age of 82 in Riverside, California, USA, on January 11, 1991.
