A Scottish actor and writer, born in Renfrewshire, Scotland. Fulton served in the army before becoming an actor. He joined the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and also joined several theaters. His credits include Doing Time (1979), Porridge (1974-1977), and Local Hero (1983). He wrote a number of plays for the BBC, and he also worked as a theater director. He was awarded an OBE in 1984 for his services to theater. He married actress Sheila Manahan and she remained with him until his death. He died of stomach cancer on June 6, 1987, in London, England.
