A Japanese actress, born in Nerima, Tokyo, Japan. Her son is actor Takehiro Hira. In 1957, she signed a contract with Toei Film Company, and the following year she made her film debut in Utsukushiki shimai no monogatari: Modaeru sôshun. Her most notable works include Earthquake Bird (2019), Umi no koto (1966), and Isan sôzoku (1990).
