An Austrian actress, born to an Italian father and an Austrian mother. She made her stage debut as a teenager in the play Schneeweißchen und Rosenrot at the youth theater in her hometown. She also continued to study acting at the Vienna Conservatory and made her first appearance in front of the camera in 1962 in the comedy film Unter Wasser küßt man nicht.
