A Filipino actress, born in Manila, Philippines. She studied Theater Arts at the University of the Philippines Diliman in Manila. Her training was supervised by the late artist Tony Mabesa, and she is the first Filipino actress to receive a nomination for a Golden Globe Award in the acting category.
