An American actor, born in California, USA, on May 19, 1907. Among his most important works are Billy Jack Goes to Washington (1977), Escape From the Planet of the Apes (1971), Thoroughly Modern Millie (1967), and Pete's Dragon (1977). His career consisted of a large number of works in which he appeared as an extra and rarely in main roles. With the advent of television, he faced a problem due to his stately appearance, but he went on to present roles in Western films, and this led him to find more stable dramatic roles. Unlike many of his peers, he was still able to work in several films and shows during the 1980s, and by the late 1980s, he decided to retire from a career that spanned several decades. George Golden passed away at the age of 87 in Los Angeles, California, USA, on August 21, 1994.
