He was a Canadian actor, born in Manitoba, Canada. He obtained a Master of Fine Arts from Yale University, and he served in the Royal Canadian Artillery during WWII. His debut was in General Electric Theater (1957). He is known for Aliens (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), and A Bridge Too Far (1977). His last appearance was in Sleepers (1991). He was married to the actress Mary Lindsay. He passed away on December 19, 1991, in London, England, UK.
