An American actress, born in Los Angeles, California, USA, on March 31, 1923, as Rita Allene Quigley. She married Arthur J. Goehner. They had 6 children, and he remained with her until his death. Among her most important works are The Human Comedy (1943), Blonde Inspiration (1941), Susan and God (1940), and Isle of Forgotten Sins (1943). Rita began working as a teenager in the early 1940s and appeared in B-movies in the Western, light comedy, and social drama genres, then she quit acting to get married, gave birth to 6 children, and devoted herself to raising them, and when they grew up, she returned to work as a secretary for the Petroleum Club in Los Angeles, then became the first woman to serve on the company’s board of directors. Rita passed away at the age of 85 in Arroyo Grande, California, USA, on August 25, 2008.
