An American actor, born on May 19, 1888, in Lebanon, Ohio, USA, as Claudius Geiger. He has appeared since the silent era of cinema. He is a founding member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG). His father was actor and playwright Clement Laird Geiger, and his mother, Mattie Marshall, was an actress and singer. He is known for The Power and the Glory (1918), Whipsaw (1935), and The World Changes (1933). He was married to Mary Frey, with whom he had one child. He died at the age of 68 on October 20, 1956, in Watertown, New York, USA.
