An American actor, born in Tiffin, Ohio, USA, as William Perry Adams. He married stage actress Eleanor Adams, and they had one child, then married Eleanor Wells. Among his most important works are Sweet Surrender (1935), Power and the Land (1940), East Side/West Side (1963), and The Honeymoon Killers (1970). William Adams was also a professional baseball player who turned his career towards theater and cinema. He passed away at the age of 85 in New York City, New York, USA, on September 29, 1972.
