He was a Canadian writer, born in Montréal, Québec, Canada. He studied English literature at McGill University in Montreal. He launched his career as a director for an amateur theater company. He is known for The Life of Riley (1949-1950), The Girl on the Boat (1962), and Blackmail (1965). He was married to Elaine Grand. He died on August 23, 1975, in England, UK.
