An American actor, born in Springville, Alabama, USA, as Elmer Calvin Patterson. He married Daisy Marguerite Sheeler (1915-1975), and she remained with him until his death. Among his most important works are The Twilight Zone (1959-1964), Green Acres (1965-1971), The Amazing Colossal Man (1957), and Gunsmoke (1955-1975). Hank Patterson was also a musician. He worked extensively on television and made small appearances in a number of science fiction films, in addition to playing many roles in Western TV productions. He began his artistic career by playing the piano in traveling vaudeville shows, and in his late seventies, he continued to work even though he was almost completely deaf. Hank Patterson died in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA, on August 23, 1975, of bronchial pneumonia.
