A Polish-American film, stage, radio, and television actor, born in Warsaw, Poland, as Edward Zylberberg. He married Louise Edwards and had no children, and she remained with him until his death. Among his most important works are Calling Philo Vance (1940), The Girl from Mexico (1939), Missing Daughters (1939), and The Last Express (1938). Edward Raquello immigrated to the United States in 1926, specialized in performing the roles of Latin lovers in Hollywood, and worked frequently on stage. From the early forties to the late sixties, he worked on the Voice of America Radio. He died in New York City, New York, USA, on August 24, 1976, at the age of 76.
