An American actor, director, and screenwriter, born in Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts, United States. He was married to Berthe Sotenberg. He began working in movies as an actor in 1908, a director in 1910, and a screenwriter in 1917. Some of his notable works include Hearts of the First Empire (1913), Babbling Tongues (1917), Atonement (1919), and The Black Spider (1920). He passed away from a heart attack on October 4, 1942, in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, United States, at the age of 79.
