An American actor, born in Elmhurst, New York, US. He started his career in the late silent era of cinema and worked on Broadway during the thirties. Among his notable works are Wildcat Bus (1940), Hitler: Beast Berline (1939), and The Hidden Hand (1942). He was drafted into the US Army in 1942 during World War II. He retired from acting after the war and worked in the field of clothing design. He married actress Dorothy Dearing (1946-1965) and they had one child. He died in Santa Monica, California on March 17, 1988, at age 87.
