He was a Canadian writer, born in Carstairs, Canada. He was a boxer before pursuing a screenwriting career. He is known for Operation Petticoat (1959), The Man and the Challenge (1959), and The Rough Riders (1958). He was married to Mary Anne. He died on October 5, 2001, in Washington, USA.
