An American film and television actor, born in Los Angeles, California, USA. Robert Knapp married Marilyn Frances Remillard (1951-2001). They had one child, and she remained until his death. Among his most important works are Mesa of Lost Women (1953), The Rifleman (1958-1963), Days of Our Lives (1965), and TV Reader's Digest (1955). Robert Knapp practiced acting in school and excelled in swimming and football, then he enrolled for a year in a college in Glendale, but he left to work at Warner Bros. Studios. When he joined the United States Army, he worked in making training films and then returned to Warner Bros., where he worked as a second assistant director. His acting career began when he appeared in a play in the early fifties. In the mid-fifties, he worked more extensively on television than in cinema. He died in Glendale, California, USA, on May 17, 2001.
