An American-Chinese actor, born in San Francisco, California, USA, as Roland Lui Got, to immigrant parents from China who worked in sewing clothes. He married Grace Yee Chew Got, and they had one child. Among his most important works are G-Men vs. The Black Dragon (1943), Across the Pacific (1942), Extortion (1938), and We've Never Been Licked (1943). Roland Got was a character actor who worked in Hollywood during the thirties and forties and played the roles of Chinese and Japanese characters. He graduated from Jefferson High School, trained in acting at the Motion Picture Academy, and began his artistic career in 1937 by appearing in the movie The Good Earth. His cinematic career ended during World War II when he was drafted into the army and sent to the European front. After the war, he worked in the field of insurance. He died in San Francisco, California, USA, on November 30, 1948, by drowning at the age of 32.
