A British actor, born in Liverpool, Lancashire, England, UK, as John William Pyman. He married actress Clara Reid (1899-1951). They had two children, and she remained with him until his death. His most important works include The Moonstone (1934), Rulers of the Sea (1939), She's Dangerous (1937), and The Grip of Iron (1920). John Power was the eldest son of a sea captain. He worked in the British theater and appeared in a silent British film in 1920. He traveled to the United States of America in 1934 and worked in talkies, playing supporting and minor roles. He worked in American cinema until the late 1940s. He died in Culver City, Los Angeles, California, USA, on September 25, 1951.
