He is a Canadian actor, director, and producer, born in Toronto, Canada. His acting debut was in C.B.C.'s Magic Hour (1991), and his directing debut was an episode in Degrassi's 40 Most Go There-est Moments (2006). He is known as an actor for his role in Degrassi High (1987-1991) and as a director for Degrassi: Next Class (2016-2017), Holly Hobbie (2018-2022), and Twisted Neighbor (2023). He is married to Michelle Shaughnessy.
