A British actor, born in London, England, UK. Among his most important works are Toilers of the Sea (1936), Lost Patrol (1929), Quinneys (1927), and Balaclava (1928). He began his artistic career in British silent cinema, appearing in short films and then feature films, until the sound era. In the mid-1930s, he traveled to Hollywood and continued his artistic career there until the early 1940s when he returned to his homeland and served in the army during World War II, then later transferred to the Royal Air Force. He died in Ferris, California, USA, on July 11, 1987, at the age of 87.
