A British actress of South African descent, born in Johannesburg, South Africa. She attended the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London before she presented theatrical performances at the Royal Court Theatre in London. She also appeared in many television shows for the BBC. Some of her works are The Girl of the Sunset Pass (1913) and Jane Eyre (1956). She died on 19 February 1985 in London, England, UK.
