A Scottish actor, born in Cupar, Scotland, United Kingdom. His works include The Good Companions (1933), Blonde Savage (1947), The Blonde Bandit (1949), and The Argyle Secrets (1948). Alex worked in theatre, cinema, television, and radio, and appeared on stage in Montreal before heading to the United States, where he worked in American cinema, theater, and television. He provided supporting roles as a butler, librarian, doctor, professor, and more. He died in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA, on July 30, 1958, of a heart attack, at the age of 58.
