An American actress, born in Dearborn, Michigan, USA, as Eugenia Popoffon. She married Robert Strauss (1958-2010), and they had three children together, and she remained with him until her death. She was born as one of 4 siblings to parents of Russian descent. She trained as a ballet dancer in New York and made her way to Los Angeles in 1952. While on tour with the American Ballet Theatre, she signed a contract as a dancer with Warner Bros. She took acting lessons, and in 1955, she signed with Fox Corporation. She presented low-budget films about Westerns, and also romantic roles on television, then she was confined to roles about the indigenous peoples of the Americas. In 1960, she retired from acting and devoted herself to caring for her family. Her works include The Living Christ Series (1951), Apache Warrior (1957), Alfred Hitchcock Presents (1955-1962), and Zorro (1957). She died in West Palm Beach, Florida, USA, on May 24, 2010, of complications from edema at the age of 75.
