He is a Belgian director and writer. He studied at the National Higher Institute of Performing Arts in Brussels. His directorial debut was Elvis (1990). He is known for Les convoyeurs attendent (1999), The Missing Half (2003), and Le signaleur (1997). Among his numerous awards and nominations, he received a César Award nomination for Best First Work for Les convoyeurs attendent and won a Grand Prix de la Critique at Cannes for Le signaleur (1997).
