An American actress and director, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. She worked as a model before starting her acting career on Broadway. Her works include The Thief (1952), King of Kings (1961), and No Exit (1962), for which she won the Silver Bear Award for Best Actress at the Berlin International Film Festival in the same year. She died on 22 March 2016 in Los Angeles, California, USA.
