A Canadian actress, born in Saint-Pacôme, Canada. Berd started her career in her thirties and moved to Montreal to study with Sita Riddez. She founded the theater company L'Égrégore. She made her film debut in 1972 in Le temps d'une chasse. Her notable works include A Special Day (1977), Quintet (1979), and Killing 'em Softly (1982). She died on August 10, 2001, in Montreal, Canada.
