A Canadian-American singer, songwriter, and actor, born in Ottawa, Canada, to parents of Lebanese descent. Paul studied music theory with Frederick Karam and piano with Winnifred Rees. He recorded his first single, "I Confess", at the age of 14. In 1958, he released his debut album, "Paul Anka", which included the hit single, "Diana". He first appeared as himself in the movie Let's Rock (1958), and his notable credits include The Longest Day (1962), Jaws (1975), and Hollywoodland (2006). Paul Anka was made an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2004. Also, he was inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame in 2005 and into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2008. He married three times and has 6 children, including actress Amanda Anka.
