An American actor, director, and songwriter, born in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, USA as Sid Miller. He was born to Jewish immigrants from Poland, and his father was a tailor, who sold his shop and moved the family to Los Angeles when Sidney was 14 years old. In 1938, he worked with and befriended Mickey Rooney, and wrote lyrics for his musical compositions. After Rooney joined the Army during World War II, Sidney turned to songwriting. In the late forties, he worked on radio and wrote many musical materials for nightclubs. He also joined Walt Disney Studios, where he wrote, directed, and composed music for many TV series. He was married three times and had four children. Among his notable credits are Dungeons & Dragons (1983-1985) and Which Way to the Front? (1970). He died in Los Angeles, California, USA, on January 10, 2004, of Parkinson's disease, at the age of 87.
