She came to the USA with her mother when she was nine years old, and she graduated from the University of Southern California. She sang the song "Poppy" in Spanish in 1924, when she was 14 years old, and she gained great fame worldwide. She sang it in 1941 with English words. She is known for The Bionic Woman (1976), Outside the Law (1956), and Justine (1969). She was married to William W. Gohl and William H. Gohl. She passed away at the age of 78 on February 25, 1988, in Lake View Terrace, Los Angeles, California, USA.
