An American Western movie actor, born as Robert Jasper Reeves in Marlin, Texas, USA. His career spanned over 40 years. He won rodeo championships and worked as a stunt performer in silent Westerns before becoming an actor. He attended Texas A&M University and served in the US Army during World War I. He was married to actress Mary Lee Turner, who appeared with him in a number of silent films. In the forties, his career had declined, so he appeared in small parts. His works include The Lonesome Trail (1930), Canon City (1948), and Riding for Life (1925). He died of a heart attack in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA, at the age of 68.
